Central Missouri Overview
The Pitt State University football team has been ranked 1st in the nation in the preseason and has upheld the ranking so far, however the road is not easy for the Gorillas with many ranked opponents left in the regular season still. The Gorillas next opponent Central Missouri has a record of 4-1 with a win over the very good 8th ranked Northwest Missouri State. The red mules average a total of 366 yards of total offense in the 5 games played where as Pitt which has played one less game has an average of 404, most of which coming from the arm of stud sophomore quarterback Anthony Abenoja who looks to lead Pitt to their 9th consecutive win counting back to last season. Another national championship is in sight for the Gorillas but they must take it one game at a time. Continuing Pitt's perfect season will be challenged Saturday, October 6th at Carnie Smith Stadium where they take on the University Of Central Missouri. Kick off is at 2 p.m.
